Human IL-12B

$65.00 - $125.00

Subunit beta of interleukin 12 (IL-12B) is a protein encoded by the IL12B gene and serves as a common subunit for both interleukin 12 and interleukin 23. This cytokine acts as a growth factor for activated T cells and natural killer (NK) cells, enhancing their lytic activity and stimulating the production of interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) by resting peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC). IL-12B also associates with IL23A to form IL-23, which plays critical roles in both innate and adaptive immunity, promoting memory T-cell responses and the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines. IL-23 is implicated in autoimmune inflammatory diseases and may contribute to tumorigenesis through its role in inducing autoimmune inflammation.
