Mouse IL-25

Produced by eosinophils, T-helper type 2 (Th2) cells, and epithelial cells, IL-25 plays a key role in regulating adaptive immune responses by promoting Th2 cytokine production. It signals through a receptor complex of IL17RA and IL17RB, activating the JAK2-STAT5A pathway. This stimulation enhances the secretion of Th2-associated cytokines like IL-4, IL-9, and IL-13, while also inducing IL-8 and IL-6 release from eosinophils through MAPK and NF-kappa-B pathways. Additionally, IL-25 inhibits the differentiation of Th17 cells, further skewing the immune response toward a Th2 profile.
