Mouse IL-5

$65.00 - $125.00

A homodimeric cytokine primarily produced by T-lymphocytes and NK cells, IL-5 is crucial for the survival, differentiation, and chemotaxis of eosinophils. It also stimulates activated and resting B-cells to promote immunoglobulin production, growth, and differentiation. IL-5 exerts its effects through a receptor composed of the IL5RA subunit and the common beta subunit (CSF2RB). Binding to this receptor activates kinases such as LYN, SYK, and JAK2, propagating signals through the RAS-MAPK and JAK-STAT5 pathways.
